Obama names doctor to clear health-care paper swamp | Health | Reuters: "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama named a Boston doctor and Harvard professor on Friday to lead his $20 billion dollar effort to modernize the disparate and paper-dominated health-care system in the United States."
I spoke to the current ONC head Dr Rob Kolodner last night before the announcement after a quick email asking him about the rumor. He always seems to make the time to reach out to the grass-roots and I hope that he stays on to help implement the stimulus plan which is built on his strategic plan. Amazing man with a life-time of service to health IT who understands both health care, public policy and is committed to actually solving the problem.
