Consumerism in Health Care - Early Evidence Positive

Studies show that people who buy HSA's lower costs and keep access to care. 40% of purchases make less than $55,000 a year. 37% of single's were previously uninsured. Majority of purchasers were families with children and 57% are over 40 years old. Nearly two thirds paid less than $100 a month for their plans.

Over a million people have plans up from 400,000 in less than a year. 24% more likely to engage in healthy behaviors and 30% more likely to get an annual physical. Catch problems early.
